** The impact factor and half life have been downloaded from the latest ISI data (Web of Science) available for these journals. These can change on a year-year basis.

*** This journal has either been recently been launched or is a re-launch of an older title. In both cases, the half data life is currently not available.

Impact factor

The impact factor is calculated as follows. For the latest 2006 data it is total number of cites in 2005 to articles published in 2004 and 2003, divided by the total number of articles published in 2004 and 2003.

Cited half life

The cited half life is the age range of 50% of the journals cited. This is an important integer as it indicates the long term influence that a paper may have on the subject area over a period of time.
